Emma + Kyle's Lake Michigan Wedding
When I first visited Michillinda Lodge in March of last year, it was freezing rain. We rushed through the tour and sought shelter in the darling A frame. But I could picture it in all it’s summer glory. Lake Michigan glory is exactly what Emma and Kyle had for their wedding day. And it could not have been more deserved. These two radiate love and kindness and brought that wonderful energy to their wedding day in June 2022.
Michillelenda Lodge is a charming resort. It has both the stunning natural beauty of the shores of Lake Michigan and some of the kitsch of a resort built in the mid-century. The three adjacent tents offer a unique place to enjoy an alfresco summer dinner and the A frame is a cozy spot for guests to dance and this was definitely a party!
Emma and Kyle’s two golden retrievers, Claude and Polly, rivaled the stunning lake and sunset for the best detail. And this was in a wedding filled with details! Emma, her mother and myself worked as a design team to curate a beautiful experience for the wedding guests. The amber goblets provided by Gigi and Leclade elevated the already gorgeous tablescapes and the florals provided by Chalet Floral were the icing.
Emma and Kyle are truly beautiful humans with amazing families their day was an absolute dream to be a part of!
