Taylor + Joe Intimate AirBnB Wedding
It’s been just about 6 months since Taylor and Joe tied the knot! Helping these two wonderful people bring their plan B to life was truly an honor, and I think they’d agree that it was an epic (in a good way) pivot. After their initial wedding plans were canceled because of Covid, Taylor and Joe found an Airbnb with a magical property to host about 20 of their closest friends and family. This house was a gem, not too far from their home. It had a wooded area, a beautiful deck and a coy pond and those were just the spaces we used!
Taylor and Joe had a church ceremony earlier in the day and then came back to the rental home where they had a second ceremony in the woods, officiated by the mother of the bride and music provided by they bride’s younger brother. These are the moments that melt my hear and make weddings unforgettable.
We set up a beautiful dinner table in woods adjacent to the ceremony. It was just about 50 yards from the house, but felt like worlds away. Between ceremony and dinner, guests enjoyed craft cocktails from the darling Lil’Bird cocktail cart, definitely a highlight. Kitchen House, a local restaurant catered the dinner, making every single piece of the wedding 100% personal. The weather on this early October day in Michigan held out (not a guarantee) all the way until the end of dinner when it started sprinkling. Guests moved into the house for dancing and the “after party,”
As I said, every aspect of this wedding had a personal element to Taylor and Joe, which makes for a magical day! They involved all of their intimate guest list and the love and care for these two was palpable. Thank you to Ryan Gauper for capturing it all so beautifully.
