Holiday Decor Favorites 2024
I really try not to reinvent the wheel with my holiday decor. I add new bows to change up colors and pick a new gift wrap color scheme, but over all, I think that’s what makes the holidays so nostalgic, memories are evoked each year when you pull out the boxes or when you walk into your parent’s house to see items you remember from childhood. I have decorations from my grandmas. Each year when I add to my collection I try to invest into decorations that are not just beautiful, but will last and can hopefully be passed down to my kid’s future homes. Here a few items that I own and love, along with a few new items I’m shopping.
1. Always Merry Door Mat - love this charming doormat. It is the perfect finishing touch to a holiday porch.
2. Gold Paper Mache Tree Topper - I bought this tree topper a few years back. It is so simple and has a vintage feel.
3. 7ft prelit Pencil Tree - We pick out a fresh tree for our main Christmas tree, but I usually put up a smaller one in our front window. I finally had to part with the cheap one I bought about a decade ago when the shedding got too far out of hand. This affordable, prelit, slim style will be perfect for this spot.
4. Faux Norfolk Pine Garland - similarly, I finally had to toss my outdoor garland. It’s been in a sad state for several years. I did some research to find a nice, affordable option that has the look and feel of real garland, but will hold up to the Michigan elements.
5. Shanya Menorah - Have you ever seen a more beautiful menorah? No matter what holiday you celebrate, this would be a lovely addition
6. Bronson Checker Tree Skirt - Tree skirts are making a comeback after the switch to collars and baskets over the last several years. I think this one is modern, but has lots of personality.
7. Wooden Christmas Village - I bought a version of these wooden villages a few years ago, and they are the thing I am most excited to unbox and put out each year. They feel very like an heirloom piece collected from Europe.
