Big Sur Family Adventure Photos
Last month we took our first big trip as a family of four, to California. We spent most of our time in San Francisco, but drove down The 1 a couple of hours to one of my bucket list locations, Big Sur. The cliffs, the beaches, the redwoods and the purple sand all seemed like an amazing symphony to me, and I had to see it with my own eyes. Big Sur did not disappoint!
Last family trip to Charleston, I was hoping to hire a photographer to do a family photoshoot for us, but dragged my feet a bit too long and couldn’t find anyone. This time around I got my act together early and through a tip from my friend Collete Wright from The Lipstick Lens, I found Shylah Lynn. Shylah found to perfect spot to capture our family adventure. Family sessions are an investment, especially when you’re already shelling out wads of cash for vacation, but I will never skimp on this expense again. I adore these images so much and they capture my family so perfectly, doing our favorite thing, exploring together.
Two parents realizing how lucky we are.
I know it’s kind of silly, but sometimes it takes looking through someone else’s lens to see just how lucky you are. These photos are a reminder of how lucky I am to have this crew and be able to explore the beautiful planet together. Thank you Shylah for these photos that I will treasure forever!
