Hyphen Life Episode 9: Amy Carroll Photography

Hyphen Life Podcast Amy Carroll interview

Amy Carroll has been a wedding photographer for over 15 years. She is one of the most sought after wedding photographers in West Michigan. Amy also photographs numerous family and portrait sessions each season. In 2015 she launched her online printshop and currently has work on Minted, West Elm, PB Teen and Urban Outfitters. Amy and her husband, Jeff, bought a cottage in Northern Michigan to use when they photograph weddings and decided to become Airbnb hosts when they are not using themselves. Amy’s exceptional talent put her on the map, but her kindness, warmth, genuineness and willingness to adapt has kept her there for over a decade and a half.

We talk about Amy’s feelings on the often imitated “Staredown” print. The amazing genius and foresight of Minted. And the beauty of happy accidents.

You can find Amy’s work online at AmyCarroll.photography and AmyCarrollPrintshop.com. And find her on social media @amycarrollphotography and @amycarrollprintshop.
