Marissa Fellows is a writer in many forms and a brand strategist under her own creative agency, Goodfellows Creative. She is also an experiential designer creating trade show and brand touch point moments for some of the worlds biggest brands. In early 2020 Marissa launched a dinner club local in Grand Rapids, aimed to cultivate community and celebrate local chefs and food.

We discuss how her winding path has led her to her multi-hyphante life. We also chat honestly about the challenges of starting over, especially in 2020. We talk about the importance of an abundance mindset and that it’s okay to have big monetary goals. We also discuss celebrating curiosity and the wins in our career journeys.

Marissa shares a quote from the Opposable Mind by Roger Martin: "Reflection, which defeats the tendency to take the obvious for granted, is what gives experience value." She also mentions the book Range by David Epstein and Rachel Hollis’ journaling practice.

You can find Marissa on her website Goodfellow Creative and on Instagram at @mcallief.
