July feels like the most care-free month, doesn’t it? It starts with a holiday, probably my favorite holiday! We always travel to Port Austin, a little tourist town on Lake Huron. My family has a house there, just a short walk from the lake. It’s a place that has so many core memories and nostalgia tied to it, but also a place that I can actually relax.

I am so excited to share the next evolution of my brand! It has been 7 years since Kristen Poissant created my lovely logo and branding package. Today, I feel like my business is starting to shift and I wanted the brand to align with what I feel is the future. I am more grown up and in a completely different place in my life and my business than I was at LKC’s inception. This brand direction feels that too.

My 2021 word of the year is “rise.” 2021 is going to be all about building. I’ve laid the foundation, now it’s time to raise the walls! I have a calendar full of amazing couples, we are working on some exciting projects at KLH and I am kicking off the year by building a grant-funded art installation for the city of Grand Rapids! I am prepared for things to not go my way, but at this moment is seems like all arrows point up!
