One Room Challenge Week 3 // DIY Oversized Peg Wall
It’s week three of the Better Homes and Gardens One Room Challenge. If this is your first time stopping by, I am working on giving my home studio a major upgrade. Take a look at week 1 to see the very scary before photos and beautiful inspiration and plan. Also pop over to week 2, where I talk about majorly transforming the space with paint. And today I’m talking about one of my DIYs to help out with organization.
If you’ve been around for a while, you probably already know that I love plywood accents and I have worked with it many times. Last One Room Challenge, I made this cute little side table, also used plywood for the custom vanity my father-in-law helped me bring to life. This time around I am adding some much needed organization using my favorite material. I made this oversized plywood peg wall out of plywood and dowels.
You can see my DIY tutorial for this project over on Something Turquoise.
I ALWAYS have a messy desk, and I mean ALWAYS. This peg wall is my solution to get the stuff off the desk. It is the perfect little spot for pens, pencils, scissors and a couple special decor pieces. I love that the shelves are completely adjustable, so I can swap and restyle anytime I get the urge.
I used a some fun pieces from local artists to style on the shelves. The fabulous collage art is by Paige Rochefort and the dot stoneware pieces is by The Artifact House.
The finish line for the studio is in sight. This week I finished painting the floors and I have slowly started moving things back in. I have one major project and lots of little things left to tackle.
What’s still left to do:
organize the closet
recover new (vintage) office chairs
DIY art
hang new pendent light
style
