I started this design back in 2019 and purchased the vanity in 2020, I am THRILLED to finally be starting the reno on the kid’s bath! Until this fall, when I did a bedroom refresh, I wasn’t so sure I was a gal who changed out her bedding seasonally. Switching it up brought me so much joy that I thought I would restyle for summer. With a couple cans of paint and a week, I transformed one of the most important architectural elements in our home. I am obsessed with the lightness the change brings to the space. The wood treads keep some warmth in the room and the black spindles and banister provides the perfect contrast.

Earlier this year, Marissa Fellows and I, teamed up to participate in the World Of Winter installation series in Downtown Grand Rapids. Sunshine Alley was a colorful and happy interactive installation and an ode to canceled travel plans. We brought a much-needed little vacation to the city in the dead of winter!
